Delete your account
For the Plates and Miles app on iPhone and Android
You can delete your Plates and Miles account at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
From the app
- Open the Account tab.
- Under Your data, tap Delete your account.
- Confirm. Your account and everything in it is erased right away.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email support@platesandmiles.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We confirm by replying to that address and delete the account within 5 business days.
What is deleted
Everything you added: trips, stops, checklists, meals, receipts, photos, lists, shares, follows, blocks and support tickets. Your name and email address go with it, so you cannot sign back in to the same account.
What is kept
- A stop you added to someone else's trip stays on their trip, without your name.
- A short audit entry recording that the account was deleted, and when, is kept for security.
Delete some of your data, keep the account
- A meal, receipt, trip, stop, photo or list entry: open it and tap Delete. It is erased immediately, along with its photos.
- Something you posted: open it and tap Unpost. It leaves the board at once and stays only in your own history.
- A link you shared: open the item and tap Stop sharing. The link stops working right away.
- Anything else: email support@platesandmiles.com from the address you signed up with and say what to remove. We do it within 5 business days and confirm by reply.
Nothing deleted this way is kept, apart from a stop you added to someone else's trip, which stays on their trip without your name.
